VINEGAR
EMILIA E ROMAGNA
Balsamic Vinegar has been synonymous with the culture and history of Modena since long time. The term "Balsamic" is relatively new and was used for the first time in Modena in 1747. In 1994 Consortium applied for the registration of the denomination “Aceto Balsamico di Modena” as Protected Geographic Indication (I.G.P.). The musts used for the production come exclusively from grapes grown in Emilia Romagna. Versatile in their use, the Balsamic Vinegars of Modena Bella Vita are the great result of a slow acidification of musts, followed by a certified period of maturation and aging in barrels of different wood species.
APPETIZERS
SICILIA (Fish Patè) – LOMBARDIA (Vegetable in Oil and Vinegar)
The tradition of Italian Appetizers is played by Bella Vita according to the ancient Italian tradition of preserving vegetables in oil or vinegar. The raw materials are simple, tender and tasty as freshly harvested. Traditionally used as an aperitif or as a starter, they may be also used to enrich the salad or to complete various recipes. In order to satisfy the tastes of the younger generation, the company also produces Fish Pate and Cream, easy to spread, to prepare simple and delicious sandwiches.
COFFEE
LOMBARDIA
Coffee is an “ancient” beverage obtained by grinding the seeds of some species of small tropical trees of the genus “Coffea”. To obtain a perfect Italian Coffee is fundamental to select the best seeds, roasting them (to give to the coffee its characteristic aromatic scent, particularly suave) and pack under vacuum to preserve its aroma and flavor. For its Organic Coffee Bella Vita focused on a 100% Arabica blend, to offer a real balanced taste, going to sweet. Because nothing can sound Italian as a good cup of Coffee…
CHOCOLATE & SWEET CREAMS
PIEMONTE
Bella Vita Chocolate is made in the most important district for the sweets in the North-West of Italy, in the well known area of Piemonte. The complete production process of Bella Vita chocolates is done by hand. Furthermore the continuous search for the best raw materials takes the company to use only selected ingredients, such as Vignola and Garbagna cherries (“Slow Food Presidium”) used for the production of the tasty Boero chocolates. All Bella Vita products, like stuffed chocolates, dragées, Gianduiotti and sweet, spreadable creams, are made following traditional methods.
JAMS AND JELLIES
CALABRIA AND PIEMONTE (Jams) – MARCHE (Jellies)
Following the entire production process is key to achieve jams of exceptional quality. The raw materials of our jams are identified among the most valuable varieties of fruit. We control every stage of the supply chain: from the orchards to the harvest until the transformation of the final product. Bella Vita prepares its jams by maintaining the authenticity and naturalness of the fruit, which is the undisputed protagonist: a jam with lots of fruit, no preservatives, no dyes, no added sucrose… Fruit that is processed in Piemonte but comes from the best region of Italian production, such as Oranges from Calabria, Cherries from Cuneo (Piemonte) or Cesena (Romagna), Peach from Piemonte, or Marroni (chestnuts) from Tuscan Emilian Apennines… Furthermore, if you are looking for something even “more particular” than tasty jams, Bella Vita can offer its Jellies, perfect to be used in many different ways, from cheese to milk or chocolate dessert, hand made with ancient recipe in Marche region.
OLIVE OIL
PUGLIA
Italy is historically a country where olive trees are cultivated since thousand years. Each region is characterized by a variety of olive trees typical of the region itself, thus flavors and aroma of olive oils differ strongly from grove to grove. Typically in Puglia, that is the region with bigger production, Olive Oil is more aromatic and intense than in other regions of Italy. And it is in Puglia that Bella Vita Olive Oil produces its Oil. Bella Vita Extra Virgin Olive Oil is 100% Italian, with really high quality thanks to the production process highly restrictive to safeguard the quality of the final product, 100% controlled from the Cultivation to the Harvesting to the Final Transformation. Thanks to our system of extraction and storage, we are sure that our oil retains all the nutritional principles, the organoleptic qualities and the flavor that a genuine and natural Oil must show.
PASTA
LOMBARDIA
When someone thinks to Italian food, for sure he thinks to a warm dish of pasta! And there are good reasons why pasta exists in so many shapes in Italy: each Italian big or small town seems to have a specific shape and, moreover, certain shapes should be eaten with certain sauces. Others work well with a wide variety of sauces. Pasta Bella Vita is processed in Lombardia and its goodness comes from the unreachable quality of the two main ingredients: flour and water. And this is the simple secret that makes Bella Vita Pasta unique as it’s produced in a natural way, using only the purest water and the finest durum wheat semolina.
SIDE DISHES
SICILY
There are some species of fish, such as tuna, which migrate across the oceans and adjacent seas, swimming thousands of miles each year. It is therefore not possible to define those fish as "Italian", "Spanish", or similar but only to talk about the sea area where it is caught. Bella Vita canned fish products derive from the South of Sicily, an area highly devoted, with strong passion, to sea fish, especially tuna and mackerel, that have always been present in the typical traditional Sicilian cuisine. All products are cleaned by hand and not with chemicals and do not contain preservatives or flavor enhancers. Bella Vita processes only yellow-fin tuna and also guarantees not to use bluefin tuna, which is in danger of extintion
PASTA SAUCES
CALABRIA
People can not think about Sauces if they don’t think to Pasta as well. In fact the pasta shape plays an important role in the outcome of the dish. The right shape can make a good sauce great; the wrong shape can dampen the appeal of even the best sauce. And the tasties sauces are produced thanks to the best raw materials, from red, mature tomato to ingredients such as chilli, peppers, other vegetables and so on. To let raw materials grow up tasty there is one particular “secret”: hot sun always shining in the sky. And in territory of Calabria sun can shine almost every day during the year!
WINES AND SPIRITS
PUGLIA - MARCHE - LOMBARDIA
In Italy there are different wines in different territories, which vary significantly from one to another in quality and taste. But in every region there is an “excellence” and Bella Vita decided to select and offer a wide range of quality: white, rose, red, still or sparkling. Wines coming from North to South, but with a common element: the awards and quality recognitions received that certify their goodness. The areas where grapes that will become the Bella Vita wines grow up are characterized by a constant daily temperature range, that is crucial for the recruitment of perfumes which, together with other beneficial elements, allow to obtain products with intense flavors and complex aromas. Bella Vita Wines, moreover, are characterized by a remarkable structure and completeness that are well suited for their longevity and aging.

The legend of the origins of chocolate tells that a young squire leaving for the war left his treasure to his bride, a princess, to keep it until his return. Unfortunately enemies reached the princess looking for the treasure but she never revealed the place where it was hidden. So she was killed for revenge. From her blood was born a plant whose fruit saved the bitter seeds as suffering, strong as her virtue and red as her blood: it was the cacao plant. The history anyway tells that the first cocoa usage dates back to 1500 BC, in Mexico, such as beverage and food energy, suitable to alleviate the fatigue.

When the durum wheat semolina arrives at the factory, the qualitative analysis is done by the laboratory. The flour is then mixed with water as required by the recipe, to give life to the mixing which is then passed through the dies (extrusion) to give it the desired shape. Pasta thus formed is placed in the dryers to remove excess moisture.
